Because, despite what its starry eyed adherents preach, its just a crutch to help the weak to survive from day to day. It provides answers for people too confused by reality to think for themselves.

Go to your local book store try to find one astrology book in the science section. Astrology uses science but it is NOT a science. It's more like religion because "belief" is vital not any proof. Those of us that took science in school may remember something called "the scientific method".
The scientific method is the best way yet discovered for winnowing the truth from lies and delusion. The simple version looks something like this:
1. Observe some aspect of the universe.
2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis, that is consistent with what you have observed.
3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.
4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.
When consistency is obtained the hypothesis becomes a theory and provides a coherent set of propositions which explain a class of phenomena. A theory is then a framework within which observations are explained and predictions are made.
Other people must be able to conduct testing to confirm results. Consistency is crucial for science while in astrology there is none. There have been tests though.
One set of tests have been done in 1985, by the science magazine
Nature together with the San Francisco chapter of the National Council for Geocosmic Research. They recommended the 28 professional astrologers who took part, and help designed the tests. Click the link below for details.
Bottom line is they failed their own test.

I agree, there should be a special category better suited to house the paranormal section. However, science has been trying to prove or disprove paranormal activity for years. Sceptics always come up with logical explanations why they don't believe, many of which are scientific in nature. They've even done scientific studies on a persons soul to see if it really exists. I suppose that is how it ended up here. Anyway, you don't have to click on any subjects you're not interested in.......

Because most horoscopes are provided for entertainment purposes, not scientific purposes.
The is a somewhat quiet debate over whether or not astrology and other devinations are actually scientific or randomized powers of suggestion.
Since there is no actual proof, only speculation, that devination works, it is grouped with entertainment.

Because although it's nice to believe, horoscopes dont really come under anything but what some woman in a black wig and a crystal ball decided to write in todays paper. Aspects of it are quite remarkably true...like atrostrology is quite great..but horoscopes are a sort of astrology spin off and ALOT of it is made up.

Because it is entertainment. Could you imagine if your life actually unfolded daily as according to your horoscope? Yikes! And you know that no two horoscopes for you say the same thing.

Because horoscopes are a crock, that's why. There isn't anything scientific or mathematic about them. Nothing that a legitimate scientist or mathematician would practice anyway.

horoscopes are not proven true, some match people by coincidence because they are too general, therefore they cannot be classified as a science

People do not want to accept it. Not even as a hypothesis. Yet they easily accept string theory! Where is that proof?
