"To see a key in your dream, symbolizes opportunities, access, control, secrets, or responsibilities. You may be locking away your own inner feelings and emotions. If you hear the sounds of keys rattling, then it indicates that you have the right attitude toward life. You are heading in the right direction and asking all the right questions in the process. It is also a sign of decisive action."
My guess is that because the burglar had a key, the "burglar" is able to gain infinite access to your hubby's "inner feelings and emotions." So hubby shoots the burglar, but he does not die. That symbolizes that your husband knows the burglar will always keep an eye on what's going on in his head and keep coming for information.
Has your husband been not wanting to talk to you or someone else about something? Have you been persistently trying to get him to talk to you to no avail? You or another person may be the "burglar" and are trying to "break into" his psyche by talking with him, and he is not letting it happen.

Dreams are typically given via the Lord to exhibit in which you wish to have benefit in existence. The interpretation of such desires is right, however provided that the interpreter has steering from the Lord. Other dream interpreters that experience plenty of enjoy can come near, but when there's direct steering from the Lord regarding the ones desires which might be consistant with a dream that's given BY him, then the translation will hit a gentle spot at the individual's soul. The interpretation might be superb. Many is not going to consider me, and I certainly not reply questions with reference to desires which might be effectively the brain replaying the day. I additionally don't feel that any interpretation I supply is mine, however belongs to Christ. There are occasions within the Bible of two dream interpreters, Joseph and Daniel. I is not going to say that ALL desires have which means. Some are, as you are saying, random ideas occuring as you sleep. Should you have got one with deeper which means, don't be afraid to voice it. You will recognize the actual interpretation whilst you see it.

Being broken in = insecure
People had a key to get in = privacy invasion.
Dreaming of being broken often means insecurity. In your hubby's case, it may be so as well. However, he had this protection mind, In other words, he is always trying to protect you even though he encounters problems or difficulties.
In translation, he is having some sort of stress now On one hand, he feels insecure about his surroundings, perhaps, job and family, but on the other hand, he does not want to give up. He will still do what he is supposed to do it. Killing in dream in this case only symbolizes way to handle things which is protection for the family

He feels obligated to protect his family and might have some apprehension about what would happen if you were put at risk. He might have some fears about how secure you are since the person had a key but he seems to feel confident in his ability to protect you based on how the scenario played out in the end. The fact that they didn't die shows some mercy and compassion on his behalf.

The key symbolizes the ability to open and close doors. Shooting means that he has to chose something or someone. Maybe there are 2 voices inside and they are shouting at each other. If he shares his worries and sorrows with someone, he will be at peace again.

Good man! He shot them, but didn't kill them. Burglars need shooting, preferably with their own s**t!
My interpretation is that your husband wants to use his gun, but is basically a good guy, and does not want to kill anyone.
Tell him to go to a firing range and vent his frustrations there!
That will take care of the dreams.
