Why does water have no taste?? But yet we, as people, like only certain brands of water. Like I prefer Aquafina. I hate Dasani.

I will drink any generic water that has been purified. As long as it's cold and wet.

Water does have taste and it comes from the different mineral content (sodium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine, etc.) in the water and/or any other contaminants. Some water tastes great and other water is barely potable.

I like toilet water...

Generally water has different "taste" because of the minerals added. Some of us might not get enough of a certain mineral and our body craves it... It would be my thought that the water has more of that certain mineral than others.

It's hard to find, but, I like carbonated waters: the carbonation seems to add flavor. Plus, it makes it like you are drinking a soda, because of the bubbles. Make it ice cold and it is pretty good. Naturally carbonated is best.
