Many holidays are "unfair": Christmas is unfair to non-christians. Hannukah is unfair to non-jewish. Valentine's is unfair to singles.
Mother's day is unfair to childless women who's mom had already passed away. Father's day is unfair to childless men.... Need I go on?

There is no need to consider yourself misearble if you are single. These people got each other, let them be happy for just one day. Many of them forget that they are supposed to be like that to each other every day. Let media remind them.

Not especially to the adults but when I was in school we had this system where you could buy roses for someone else in school and then on Feb 14th. the roses would be delivered by the highest grade of the school to the person you bought the rose for. Some kids never ever got a rose which was worse because kids are still in that insecure phase usually.

Still if Valentine's sucks for the singles, it is so great for the couples.

No he does not for he's familiar with he has the affection maximum Christians. i'm single and that i don't get depressed on Valentines Day because of the fact that's a man made trip with no longer something to do with the Bible or faith.

No. It's a made-up Hallmark holiday. It's nothing more than an avenue to market to the consumers. I guess there's too much space between the Christmas sale and the Easter sale at Target.

Its nothing but a commercialized holiday. I've always given my family members valentines and now that I'm married with children, I give my husband something as well as my children, father and brother. I think its about love, not necessarily having a significant other.

The point about Valentines day is to let people who think they have no one, that they have someone. The torture is the tradition of not signing the card so you don't know who it is.
