as an indian, i can tell u for sure, that india has Bangladesh to the east (along with Burma/Myanmar), Nepal and China to the North and Pakistan to the West. Sri Lanka is an island in the south, and the Maldives and Andomen Nicobar Island are SW and SE respectively.

China, it shares the border on the northeast side.. and it shares the himalayas with it.. pakistan, on the northwest.. the history between the two countries is cool, then comes sri lanka, an island near the bottom of inida... then nepal, bangledsh on the east side of it.. remember that it's a sub continent so it hangs out... for more info, click here:
