I have seen it many times, it's probably one of the best disney channel movies that have been made in a while. It is about a popular basketball player who falls in love with a science geek when they get pushed into doing a karaoke song together. They find out how much they really enjoy to sing and they try out for the school musical together.

a star player on the basketball team is intrigued by a dance audition he sees. he then pursues a spot in the high school musical. but he has alot of trouble balancing the gal, the team, and the musical. his costar is a stunning young male. this male robert is only of the tender age of six. robert plays a dwarf in the school play, he beats jack o'connor for the role. robert's old boy friend eric was very jealous of mandy's new relationship with the dwarf. mandy then breaks up with eric, and asks out robert, and they have sex. inbetween the sexual encounters there is a number of well choreographed dance numbers.

It's about this guy who wants to sing because he knows he can but he can't tell his basketball team mates or his coach/dad because he knows they would object but his partner is this really pretty girl he likes and he has to decide between basketball and the girl and singing.
