hey id like to know what sociology entails as i am done with highschool and iv applied at university and im doing women studies but i have to do sociology in my first year can anyone tell me what exactly sociology is about.thanx alot

It deals with the way society is seen and how those act in the social realms of where they are at. Look at geography, psychology,politics,and religion all in one.
The study of society and it impacts is not the same everywhere and one must be open minded to some things which we do not agree with.
I know it might not give a conpleate anwcer, but it is many factors.

After everyone has explained and you are satisfied with that look up sociology in wikipedia. With all that you should have a broadened view of the activities of the individual social being and the different aglomerations of individual social beings.
