I seriously think my husband has a mild case of OCD. He puts his money in his wallet in denomination order, has to vacuum in straight lines, mows the yard in straight lines, hangs his shirts lightest to darkest and FOLDS his underwear. OCD or no ? Do you fold your underwear, and if so ...WHY?

I do everything the way your husband does. I was brought up to be neat and orderly. My clothes also go on the hanger a certain way and all the hangers hang the same way. My Mother spent time & love teaching me to do these very things. If you are otherwise it probally drives him crasy. No OCD, thats absurb. You ask why he folds his underwear ? I say, My husband learned in the US Navy to fold all his clothes. Can you imagine a sea bag full of unfolded clothes. What a nightmare !! I fold his underwear now so that the crouch is nice and smooth. He likes that. We have been married 54 years and everyday gets sweeter.

Altogether that is quite major OCD actually. But doing each one of those things and not the other is fine. It depends on if he can break the habit, if he can go without those habits then it probably isn't OCD, but if he can't then it probably is. Maybe have him go to a doctor. To answer your question, I do fold my underwear too and I organize my shirts lightest to darkest, but that's not really OCD, that's just being organized.

I don't fold my underware because as many said, folding thongs is just complicated (and they typically unfold themselves in the drawer anyways!). But I do everything else you mention, I have my $$ in denominational order, vacume in strait lines, organize my closet (even worse than you mentioned) and other various "mild ocd" things. Though clinically it would be a mild case of OCD, I think it's just being neat. For me, it's all selfish. Being organized makes things easier to do, and take less of my time.
Funny thing is, I do everything you mentioned except fold my undies. But my fiancee DOES fold his undies and doesn't do any of the other things.... Maybe we are just the right mix for each other :o)

I don't think that is OCD, "neat freak" perhaps, but not OCD. I would love for him to teach those attributes to my husband. Yes, I do fold my underwear, though they don't stay that way because it's hard to keep thong undies folded. ;) I fold them because I don't feel right just throwing them into a drawer. I suppose I have a touch of "neat freak" as well.

I fold mine too! I wouldn't be able to find my favorite pairs w/o folding them. I fold my husband's boxers too. My sons underwear, on the other hand, I do not fold b/c its too small & it would take up more room that way. I don't think it's OCD...but then again, everyone probably has mild OCD..................

OCD!? You should be thankful you have a husband who takes care of himself and is organized. Do you fold your underwear?
He happens to think that doing things in an orderly manner makes his work easier.

LOL... sounds just like me... I vacuum in straight lines... hang my shirts from short sleeve to long sleeve, light to dark... arrange my socks in a certain order, eat the food on my plate in a specific order but amazingly enough... I don't fold my undearwear although I do fold my son's. Go figure...

Everything has its place, and underwear are folded up along with my bras and I even mate my socks. Oh my do I have OCD?

I have found that the world is full of all sorts of people. If you degrade somebody that is different from you, you have issues with acceptance. You are not very tolerant.
And, yes, I fold my underwear.....(lol)
