I think that you just have to make sure that the boxes next to the songs are checked everytime you sync it. if they arent the songs wont add.

A way to absolutely avoid erasing any current songs on your ipod is to add the new ones manually. Bring them up in your I-tunes library and click and drag them to your ipod "icon" to add. Sometimes when you sync your songs, the thing has a mind of its own. Unless I am adding more than 50 songs at a time, I always add mine manually to be safe.
Good luck.

If all your music, both the new music and the music already present on your ipod, is on one computer, then all you need to do is plug the ipod into that computer and select that you'd like the ipod to automatically sync with that computer. Otherwise, you must edit the options so that "manually manage music" is selected, and then drag and drop the newly imported music onto the ipod each time you import it.

I thinkYou can use itunes off line after put in for that. i love podcasts and performance used san disk and zen gamers and performance been able to click and deliver or drag and drop audio information to my mp3 play yet might want to favor to sync if i wanted video. i take advantage of itune for podcast because there is not any DRM yet use Amazon or emusic if I favor to purchase song. maximum gamers comprise a disk that does the set up however the software that got here such as your pc may also paintings. perchance not for Apple. the purely mp3 participant i did not like changed into the ipod shuffle because it had no show show and that i pay interest to audio books and podcasts . Random chapters not solid. i imagine different ipods are ok. close to my homestead libraries and espresso shops often have loose internet.

I think with the newest version of iTunes you can sync it so that the music from the iPod goes to the library, but the music in your library might go away, so I don't know.
