cell phone contract swapping is possible. the service is offered by celltradeusa.com - you get out of your contract after the new customer is qualified by your service provider to take over your contract. i think wired magazine did an article on this a while back, but check for detail at the consumeraffairs.com websit. the link is below.

I don't think there is a way to do that. I tried to cancel mine and they told me that I could either pay the early termination fee or buy out the contract. If you only have a month or two left, that would be better than paying the termination fee. For example, if you only have two months left and your monthly payments are 70.00, you would have to pay 140.00 and you would have just bought out your contract.

Well, if you are under 18, you could probably weasel out of it. Otherwise, you hang on for the full contract time, or bite the bullet and pay the penalty, and learn to shop around in future.

They will let you out of the contract if you move to somewhere you can't get service. They usually know where the spotty service is.

Join the army, navy, air force or marines and get relocated to a place that doesn't have towers for your carrier. This will work.
