Uhhhhhhh yes.
A pad would get wet and water logged instantly, and well...it is rather disgusting to think you're going swimming in a pool with other ppl and not having a tampon. No one wants to swim in that.
Would you?

Absolutely. I'll tell you a funny story. I was 12, I had JUST gotten my period, didn't know much about that stuff. So, I went to the country club, didn't have a pad (I was too afraid to use a tampon at this point) so I ended up putting toilet paper down there. I should have been smart enough to know the toilet paper would rip apart and float away! How embarassing... needless to say, using a tampon while swimming is a good idea.. you don't want to take the chance of blood coming out and into the water, or blood dripping down your legs when you get out. That would just be humiliating.

No. If you plan on swimming on your period, you NEED to wear a tampon. Many women "believe" that your period stops in the water, but it doesn't. So there is a great possibility that you would bleed all in the water. And that is completely disgusting and unhealthy for everyone else that will be in the water. So if you can't use tampons, don't swim.

Yes. Would you want to swim in a pool where other women might have been in it while having their period and NOT wearing internal protection???

Yes...it would be common courtesy not to make people swim in that. And it would be really embarrassing when you had blood running down your leg when you got out of the pool

i hate tampons w/ a passion. what i do is wear a pad on my swim suit until it's almost time to swim, then i go to the bathroom and take it off. then head straight for the pool. the bleeding almost stops in the pool, and if you do bleed a little, it disolves b4 any1 sees....gross yeah...but what other ppl don't know cant hurt them.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS HEAVY BLEEDING WHEN YOU ARE INSIDE THE WATER.ACTULLY THE AMOUNT OF BLOOD BEING SECRETED IS REDUCED A LOT WHEN YOU ARE INSIDE THE WATER.WEARING TAMP ONS CAN MAKE YOU FEEL ARRRHHHGGG !!! BUT EVEN WHEN YOU COME OUT OF THE POOL AND GO TO CHANGE YOU'LL SEE NO SIGN OF BLOOD IT'S WORTH TRYING TRUST ME
