i recently had my internet disconnected, but it still works? even when the cable box and plug are disconnected it still works?!? its wierd to me does anybody know about this? plus the connection is 100 times better now(i have an hp laptop)

One o your neighbors probably has a wireless unsecure router and you are picking up their signal.

if its all disconnected the chances are you your laptop has locked onto someboys wireless signal, that doesnt require any passwords. this is now considered a comptuer crime and if they read the router logs they could press charges for stealing their bandwidth.
to check this do start-> control pannel ->network connections and look where it has wirless connection it might say connected if it does right click on choose disable.
