I will be getting a master's degree in teaching so that I can change careers from publishing to elementary education. I start school in March.

I am so incredibly nervous that I'm making the wrong decision, and I'm scared that I won't like this career path any better than I liked the first one.

Has anyone else gone through this?

Yes, every single one of us has!

There's no need to panic. If you find out, later in life, that this isn't the mission you're supposed to be on, then just change it.

Just because you take this road now, doesn't mean you can't take another road later.

I've had a hard time figuring out "what i want to be when i grow up". I've had several completely different jobs, two completely different BAs and now I'm getting a completely different Master's. I figure I'll get something out of it, whatever I do, but I just keep bouncing around, trying to find my "career". I say, just give it a try.

You may have panic disorder. Seek counseling. Your school should have some available.
