I am not going to pay the t.v licence when it comes through the letter box later on this month.I refuse to pay this because of the BBC news 24.The money they get from hard working people like myself goes on rubbish repeats, rubbish programes, rubbish news, rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. Why dont the English people stick together and all refuse to pay this pathetic tax?The stinking french all stand up for one another when they are hard done by,so why not us English? If the licencing officer comes knocking on my door I shall tell him/her to f uck right off.You do not have to let them in.They can only enter your premises with a police officer with a search warrent, that my friends is a FACT.I want my telly but I dont want the shi t the BBC knocks out day after day after day.Our licence tax also goes on Asian radio stations that I cant even understand, BBC ASIA,BBC MUSLIM COMMUNITY STATION,BBC MUSLIM PRAYERS,BBC MY FUC KING ****,

IM NOT PAYING FOR THIS DRIVVLE,WHY ARE YOU?ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

What Ho T&J,
Ifeel your item is a bit strong, BUT.
I too refuse to pay dear knows what for the BBC for several major reasons, being:
1 I get umpteen channels that are mainly as good as.
2 It is the National Station, and should therefore be funded by central Treasury, with a tax equally spread, which it is not.
3 We seem to be the only country that I have been to with this archaic arrangement. For example in the USA, I was asked why we need a licence for a domestic appliance - "Do you need one for your washing machine also ?" I have been around the planet a bit, and everyone is amazed.
4 There are only six vans in England with spinning roof-racks, who concentrate on densely populatated areas, so if, like me, you are out of town, or in the sticks - forget it.
5 What are they going to do with the TV on my boat ? Send out the Inland Waterways Authourity to chase me?
6 The Beeb is easily picked up in Northern France, Belgium, Isle of Man, Ireland etc., and no licence paid.
7 Perhaps you know that a student at Uni can use their parents licence. But only if it is battery powered!!!! What the hell is that about?
8 Thinking of which, while I am on a rant, we set up a low power TV campus station, running decent videos, and had a call from the authourities about it. Not mainly because we did not have a transmission licence, but that we were detracting from BBC veiwings. Incredible.
9 My remaining parent alive does not have to pay. Qrite right.
10 I learn that a miserable 10% discount on the licence applies to the blind, and those with visual difficulties. 10% !!

So there we have it.
I totally support you and others in making a stand on this.
Power to the people, and all that.

Good viewing, mon ami.
Bob.

A bit strong and sounds racist. Apart from that Im with you all the way. I havent bought a TV license since I got my first flat in 1993. It was the summer of 1994 when I was first cautioned under the television and radio act of 19canteen, and after the non payment of a £100 fine spent 7 days in HMP Greenock. This has happened twice since and both times up the river I went. They just dont come round anymore as I think theyve finally got the message. Want a real laugh....? Theres a colour portable in every cell in every landing and Setanta for the old firm games on the big screen in the dining hall...! Wicked - I cant even afford that at home.

once over seventy 5 its decreased and my sister who become blind even were given a relief. On cable you've the flexibility to observe the BBC besides there are about 8 channels at a fee of £one hundred thirty 5 ish a three hundred and sixty 5 days. I dont imagine pensioners could pay like you assert they have a discounted budget, yet for my section it really is going to in consumer-friendly words be an option for the poorest pensioners as many have those gold plated pensions many now no longer have get entry to to as they have been closed. In saying that the position fo we draw the line what about disabled those who're also on income help or unmarried figure households stuck contained in the poverty seize. The BBC is funded by way of licence payers many of the money being spent on academic programmes and and to pay Johnathan Woss/Ross his 8 million pound revenues which receives up my nostril as a lot as he does. I watch BBC information all day and ;love the very reality there are not any advertisements and can want to fortunately pay it to evade observing them.

I could not agree more and I work as a contractor for the BBC and you would be amazed at the amount of public money they waste.
The staff at the BBC, from the very top to the bottom waste money because it is not their money and its easy come easy go

Absolutely correct, not just this also council tax goes up each year and gets no better and they want to come into your property soon to check what improvements you have to tax you more, train fares go up by more than inflation, congestion charges, soon there will be road tolls and environmental taxes on air fares which don't go on the environment but government coffers.

M.P.s want gigantic wage rises which they give to themselves, which normal people would never be able to do, but they get away with it. its all about getting more and more money of the people. we need a big riot to sort this country out.

Nice rant. Couldn't agree with you more. I would rather put the money towards subscription TV and at least have the choice of what I want to watch.
