It's pretty old, I'm guessing. 20 years or more? Anyway, there's a really cool electric-sounding voice at the beginning, and then I think it goes, "Welcome to the land of the ice and snow....." but I'm not sure. Anyone make sense of this song?

Immigrant Song: Led Zeppelin ?

The beginning lyrics are:

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow
The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, singing and crying
Valhalla, I am coming

But I don't remember an "electronic" sounding voice. Mabye your'e hearing Robert Plant's high, almost falsetto voice.

.
.
The running joke on that song is that during the part where Plant is singing high "Aaaahhh", we would say they dropped an Amp on his Foot in the studio, and that was his reaction.

.
.
I know, I know....I'm a dork.

Easy. It's called The Immigrant Song, and it's by my all-time favorite band: Led Zeppelin. There's no electronic voice in the studio album; however, the live version does have a voice that sounds electronic, and it's Robert Plant using some weird sound effect thing. Here are the lyrics:

IMMIGRANT SONG
Led Zeppelin
Jimmy Page / Robert Plant

Two, three, four.

Ah~ah~ahhh-ah!.
Ah~ah~ahhh-ah!.
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

Hammer of the Gods
Will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, and sing and cry:
"Valhalla I am coming."

On we sweep with, with threshing oar.
Our only goal will be the western shore.

Ah~ah~ahhh-ah!.
Ah~ah~ahhh-ah!.
An' we come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

How soft your fields so green
Can whisper tales of gore,
Of how we calmed the tides of war.
We are your overlo__rds.

On we sweep with threshing oar.
Our only goal will be the western shore.

So now you better stop
And rebuild all your ruins.
For peace and trust can win the day
Despite of all your losing.

Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh.
Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh.
Ah hah hah hah hah hah.

Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh.
Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh.
Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh. Ooh~ooh.
