My friend has a nail that falls off once a year (old injury, permanent damage to the nail bed). She keeps it polished anyway -- you could glue it to your toe for the weekend and it should hold all right for a while...... or you could polish that spot on your toe. No one is going to notice anyway, as long as it's the same color as the rest of the nails.

...and YES, you can still get a pedicure. She does - they just do the 9 nails she has (they don't give her a discount, though).

why did your nail fall off? Was it the whole nail? If so, then you could have a fungus or some other infection. If that's the case, then most reputable nail salons won't do your toes for fear of contamination. I would advise against a pedi until you have a doctor check you out.

My mom has fungus on her big toe, and it falls off every few months. We would just get one of the cheap fake nail kits that you can find at wal-mart and glue the biggest one onto her toe and then paint it. It would stay on for about 5 days before we would need to change it.

it depends on why your toenail fell off, if it is because of a
fungus legally nail salons are not supposed to touch your
foot for sanitary reasons.
also even if you told them its because you smashed your toe
or something they may not.
however, you could do an at home pedicure and just keep that
one bandaged when you go out.
