I had actually seen a documentary about blood diamonds prior to seeing the movie.

The movie was dead on. The violence is to that degree when it come to money and getting out of a bad situation.

The good thing about this is that the US is very good with not letting blood diamonds / conflict diamond into the country.

I thought it was very powerful. Some very good performances, and I loved the score.

Violent yes, but I didn't think the violence was gratuitous.
