Frankly, quite a few idiots posted saved for the last.
#1. We have no acknowledged soldiers in Somolia.
#2. This is not a government we are helping, this is a conflict between Islamists and Ethiopia. We do not want an Islamic presence in Somolia which is why we have been funding and equiping any side including warlords/druglords just to keep the Islamists from winning.
#3 this is a precision strike which did not require a significant investment of resources. Mission accomplished, nobody on our side die. No reason for Congress or 'Dems' to get angry, especially in the sense of money.
#4. This may have not been in the best interests of the Somolia people. The Islamic law has finally accomplished a peace that was not seen for the last 20 years. There was actual law instead of anarchy. A government with actual power needs to be established and not one that is controled by a foreign power.

It shouldn't, except for the fact that it appears that this wasn't done with the consent of at least the puppet Somali government (which should have been consulted). There appears to be particularlized intelligence that there were al Qeda terrorists in Somalia, and a small strike was authorized to take them down. This is the kind of military action necessary post-9/11, not invading a country not related to any terroristic activities.
I don't think dems will be mad at all (except for not consulting with Somalia nor with Congress).

I agree ...BRAVO!!!Who cares if it makes them mad! What matters most is supporting our men and women over there. They fight for us regardless of their sacrifice, and the democrats need to quit whinning and stand behind our armed forces. They may not like what our President chooses, but should support our soldiers. We are the PROUD and the FREE and didn't get here without sacrifice. May God Bless the military and their familes during war and peaceful times!
