I have dark brown eyes. I've discovered that slate grey makes them look almost black; line and smudge your lash line with slate grey for the smokey look (a bit.) I've also recently noticed how nicely very pale brown, almost tan, shadow looks with my brown eyes. And I've noticed that greens look great too. I've tried colors that were supposed to look good with brown eyes, like purples and plums, but they just look awful on me.

Go for the smokey look! stick with brown shades. Start with the lightest shade of brown (tan) put on the entire lid, then a shade or two darker in the crease of your lid...then near the eye put a dark brown shade and follow by lining the entire eye (top and bottom) with blackest black eyeline and of course curl lashes and apply mascara..a little trick you can also try start with WHITE eyeshadow as a base and make sure you put it in the corner of your eyes for a nice wide eye effect...good luck!

To enhance brown eyes...use shadows such as earth tones. A few great shadows for brown eyes are...gold, hunter green, any shades of brown and even dark reds and black when applied correctly. You should visit your nearest department store and ask for help, it is free and you could walk away with some great tips and an amazing makeover to go out in for the night.

try the smoky eyes look that can play up almost any eye color and makes brown eyes look even more mysterious if you want to make the brown pop maybe try ALmays Enhancing ones made for brown eyes I use the one for blue and I absolutely love it. Try sticking more towards darker eye shadows if you want to make the brown seem darker

I like to highlight above the lids with a light cream color, then brown on the crease and right up against eyelashes, and fill in w/pink.

try yellow or light orange, use lighter mascara, like melody or tan. Use earth tones, like olive green, or blue tones, like royal.
DO NOT USE REDS AT ALL. They complement the brown, hence making it look lighter (like pinks and reds and purples).
Or you can wear contacts :)
