Get a pic of what you want and book the appointment. Bring it in with you! However, my advice is not to do something you are unsure about. (remember going short is usually a big transformation and takes a while to grow back if you dont like it)
At the salon, ask the hairdresser to advise what they think. Its soooo common for someone to say they want a big change but to say they hate it afterwards because its so different they are not used to it.

There are some beautiful straight women who wear short hair. It is in style. It is your stereotypical thinking that associates it as gay. Try a beauty shop that has the new technology where you can try computer images and see what you look like with a variety of hairstyles before you choose to go through with it. You can also buy the softwear for your PC and do this at home by installing it in your computer and inserting a photo of yourself.

I went through that. I have always had REALLY long hair, but after I graduated, I got 8 inches cut.
Best advice, JUST DO IT!
if you don't then you never will.
And BTW what is "lesbo" short, I've seen lesbians with long hair and straight girls with boy cuts.

The great thing about hair is that it will grow back... Maybe tell your hair stylist that you want to cut it off in increments so if she cuts off an inch and it is too short you can stop it right then and there..... I have had to do that as I went from my hair being at my waist line to above my shoulders.... hang in there you can do it

What is lesbo short? Halle berry has short hair and she is NOT a lesbian. If you are that scared to cut your damn hair, then don't. Whats the BIG DEAL!

There are plenty of attractive women that I have known and talked to who were straight with short hair. If you have a pretty face then having short will make it more visible.

Take a chunk of it and cut it to the length you want, then go and get the rest of it cut that way. You have no choice then!

Just go get it cut and tell them how short you want it.. right by the ears, the shoulder, etc. Just make sure they know what you want.
