What kind of food do you want?

If you want a nice buffet?
- Cravings at the Mirage
- Bellagio
- The Spice Market at Planet Hollywood/Aladin (you do have to dodge some remodling)

Something cheap?
- Circus Circus
- Footlong hot dogs at Slot o Fun (I believe they are $1.50)
- The diner at the Golden Gate ($1.99 shrimp cocktails) downtown
- most anything downtown
- ask a cab driver where the locals eat

Last time I was there, I ate at Smith & Wollensky's. It is a small national steakhouse chain. The prices are high, but well worth it. It is about halfway between Alladin and MGM Grand.

If price is not an issue, most places on the strip are pretty good. Despite what was once said about food in Vegas, it is not cheap any more.
If you go Downtown, things will be cheaper.

The best restaurant I've been to in Vegas is Bradley Ogden in Caesar's.

I think the highest ranked restaurant in Vegas is Picasso at Bellagio (never eaten there). A new restaurant is Joël Robuchon at MGM. Both those are $$$$.

"best restaurant" is a bit of a vague description. You will get some answers like buffets which would be less than $30/person up to stuff like Joël Robuchon which is like 200-300/person. So if you were more specific, people could probably help you more.

I like Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas. It's a French steakhouse and it's fantastic! If it's not too cold and they have seats outside, be sure to sit there. The view of the fountains across the street at Bellagio is great!

I liked the steak place in Paris that is out front above the sidewalk, with a view of the Bellagio fountains right across the street. If you eat there after dark, you'll have a great view of the light show every hour while you're there.

And the buffet at Paris is amazing--everything from fruit crepes made for you to lobster tail.

i would check out the buffets at whatever hotel you are visiting.. they are amazing!!! thats what i always do when i go there.. yeah the restaurants are great too but most people will go for teh all you can eat buffets they are kindof pricy but no more then what you would be spending to go to a fancy restaurant (sometimes the buffets are cheaper) they have everything you would want from any country(seafood, mexican, american, chinease, thia, sushi, kids food, a million desserts, italian, ect,ect,.. go to one any of them are good but you can check with your hotel to find the favorite on in town. you havent been to vegas without eating at a all you can eat 5 star buffet!!!

For Steak, get a reservation at the Lone Star.
A good lunch place is in the Cesars Forum shops called the Stage Deli.
I don't like buffets but there are plenty of those.
