I agree with you. Firefox is way overrated. People can say "it's safer" or "IE7 is crap." but they have no real support. I cna factually prove that Firefox is .s.l.o.w.

Just because it takes some initial setup the first time you load a flash page doesn't mean it sucks. How long did it take you to load all your Java plug-ins and flash plug-ins over the time you've used IE? (Not to mention all the patching, you've had to do). I'd say give it some time. IE 7 is just starting to bring in alot of the functionality that was already in Firefox (tabbed browsing, etc.) And just because you don't like it doesn't mean it sucks.

If you prefer to use a program that has spyware running all through it, thats your decision.
Mozilla Firefox is by a long way, the best and safest browser.
If you run with ZoneAlarm, when you set it up it is time consuming and tedious.
If you invest in zonealarm pro it is even more tedious setting that up. But it's worth it for the protection value.
Persevere with Firefox because when its configured right, its the best.
Did you stop to consider the fact that, if the sites that don't display properly, they may have some type of issue that IE simply allows?

It's true there are some sites that don't work in Firefox but overall it's miles better than IE7. You don't need loads of plugins for basic surfing but they add a lot of functions if you need them.
And it is safer than IE.

i don't think it's crap but it does contain many bugs which i haven't found to be a problem in ie7. for e.g the full screen function for firefox is far from perfect and i need to use it a lot because of buttons burning on the screen which my monitor suffers fom a lot. so prefer to use ie7 for long periods of browsing and firefox for quick browsing. no plug-in prblem though

Yes you are.
Firefox is a million times better then IE.
I have to use IE at work and it sucks and I only use Firefox at home. It's safer and just generally works better

i'm not a zealot, but i use firefox and thunderbird for mail client. sure, you may initially have to load some plugins, but i'd rather do that than use a microsoft product that has all the overhead it needs. and, i hate microsoft, the necessary evil.
