date someone who has a 7 year age differece? I mean, they say that age doen't matter in love, but like if your like 13 or something dating a 20 year old that's bad, but if your like 20 and the other person's 27 then it's not bad. and in ohio, i don't think people under the age of 18 can marry someone that much older. should i just wait?

It really depends on your age. You're right to point out that it's okay for a 20 to date a 27 but not a 13 a 20. The reason being is that the difference between a 20 and 27 is different than a 13 and 20 in terms of maturity, physical growth, experience etc. If you're 13, you should stick to dating people closer to your age. In the end you'll be hurt, or get in trouble with the law.

Obviously you're the 13 year old in this situation. There is such a thing as statutory rape, in which an older individual who is of age, even with consent of someone not of consenting age, can be put in jail for screwing said young girl/boy. The reason this is in effect is because, at thirteen, no matter how mature you think you are, you are still a child and unable to make mature, informed decisions very well at all. If you date this man, he will wind up in jail and/or you will wind up regretting your decision later on in life. And he WILL leave you when you get older, because this man is obviously only interested in children, not adults. When you become an adult, he will no longer want you.
The reason it's okay for someone 20 and someone 27 to date, or on from there, is because they are both adults, of consenting age, and may have reasonably the same sorts of life exepriences, enabling them to relate to each other. Please be careful.

My husband is 8 years older than me. We started dating when I was 16 and got married right after I graduated from High School. I was 18 years old. We weren't pregnant or anything, we loved each other and wanted to be married. Now we have been married for 3 1/2 years and are very happy together!

Umm..no it's not ok. The whole 20 and 27 year old thing is fine. But if your 13 and your bf is 20 Uh. yeah thats not good...and it can also be considered illegal since your under 18 so yeah wait.

It is okay depending how old you are but you probley is 13 going with a 20 year old because that is the first age you said if yo mama say it okay i guess it is okay but the only thing i say do he know you 13 because if he dont and you have sex with him and yo mama find out and she press charges he gone be in jail and that aint right so if you cant tell him you age it is wrong

I think that as long as you're both legal, it shouldn't really matter. I mean if you were 20 and he was 60, that would probably matter, but 20 and 27 isn't that bad.

when your young, under 20, age matters. but when you get older it doesnt so much. if your 20 dating a 13 year old you could be considered a pedophile... not good. but once your both adults its no longer an issue. your friends though will probably still jokingly call you a cradle robber....

i think you should wait and just work on makeing your realationship stronger. also if you are over 18 and the person you like/love is over 18 as well, there is no problems with the age diference at all, just make sure you are mature enough to handle the situation otherwise you could seriously get hurt
