Double egg yolk brings good luck. That is the superstition.

Double yolk being lucky is the superstition, I however; do not think it too lucky for the chickens to be.

If you get a double egg yolk your supposed to make a wish once you break the yolks.

It may once have been lucky to find a double yolker, but these days it is possible to detect at the processing facility whether an egg has two yolks in it or not. They are deliberately packaged and sold as such.

I am not sure probably. I get Double yolks all the time. :) Maybe I'll get really lucky one day!

often get double yolks from hens that are loose to roam plus they're more effective orange colored than the insipid battery hens,additionally they don't spit as a lot even as frying them. loose variety eggs flavor more effective useful to.

Yes my mum taught me this.
She was baking a cake once and got about half a dozen double yolks! Idon't know if there was lots of luck following that though.

As far as finding the egg goes, your lucky. But in terms of future luck, I don't think it depends on your finding the egg.

in some countries yes but here you can actually by a box of eggs that are called double yolkers i think this is in tesco but its not really a superstition carried out by brits.
Fingers crossed though you may get lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!
