There's a girl in my class we have become friends , but she keeps calling me Carly ( which I hate , Long story ) Instead of Carla . I have told her once , but I feel embarassed to keep telling her . WHAT do I dooooooo?

If it is that much of an issue then just tell her, she'll feel like a div for five minutes but it's not a big deal and she won't lose any face over it.

don't answer her when she says Carly - and inform her that you've mentioned it once before or did she forget that your name is Carla - people are rude so maybe she's doing it to grate your nerves but don't be put off or let her get the better of you if she continues put her straight ask her not to talk to you in future because a friend would never be so bad mannered to keep getting your name wrong

Maybe it's her pet name for you, like some people will shorten Shelly to Shell.
Carly sounds friendlier than Carla to be honest. In fact, I'm going to call you Carly from now on as well.

Wear a big joke name tag for a day and point at it if she makes that mistake - make a bit of a joke out of it. Or start calling her a close derivative of her name that you know is not correct until she takes the hint.

just tell her that it's CARLA not CARLY...she should get the message if you let her know that you don't like being called Carly....be nice about it but state that it's not your name...and wish to be called Carla....

Keep getting her name wrong then when she corrects you tell her when she starts calling u Carla u'll get her name right, lol. Work's honest.

I also find it hard when people pronounce my wrongly. I find it hard to tell people that it is a different name so i just let them call me what they do. It is so hard to say something about it. It is easier said than done. I think the best you can do is just get into a conversation with her about it.

Just ask her politely not to do it. Maybe make up a story instead of telling her the truth. If she was respectful she wouldnt do it.

Next time she says it say, "lol did you just say Carly?"
And when she says yes, just smile and say "you know its carla right?" And if she says "yes, but I like this better" Just say "aww...I hate that name"
