everyone is different. What you consider love, the next person will not. However, usually you can tell if you start thinking about things you never did before. Maybe you get more abitious, or influenced by your lover. You start to change, you're happier all the time. The little habits of your partner you should find really annoying, just makes them seem like a more rounded person. You put up with more. Your feelings are intense. You smile for no reason. You want to call them like 50 times a day.

You should read in the Bible, I Corinthians 13 "The Love Chapter" to see that it says love is patient and kind and seeks not its own way at the expense of others. It isn't proud, boastful or envious. It is such that it will gladly give its life to save the life of another. If you have this, then you have love. If you don't, you have something else, like lust. Lust will fail you, but it says of love, hope and faith that love is the greatest and therefore never fails. If love dies, it wasn't love in the first place. This kind of love is what has kept my wife and I married for over 28 years. I hope you have it or can find it too.

That is a good question....I always get love confused with insecurity!... I think I'm in love with someone when they start backing off, or if they act like they're not bothered whether they see me tonight or not!! Then when i see a lot of them, I want space! People often say you just know when you are in love....but I think if someone makes us feel secure and wanted, we feel we love them.

There's no definition to love, so no one can give you the exact effect of how it feels to be in love.

All I can really say is... it's absolutely amazing, and you realise that indescribable feelings, are the ones which has the most effect in our lives.

And you know when its love when the person you love, loves you back.

I believe, that if someone can explain why they love someone, then their not love, for its something the heart feels, not words.

You love someone when you can't help but think about them no matter what you're doing. You want to be with them all the time and when you're with them you don't have to be doing anything to have a good time.

You feel tingly, hot, cold, you want to jump up and down, you smile constantly, you feel really sad to be without them - but your torn by wanting to stay independant, you want to shout about how great they are to everybody, you are happy on the inside and on the outside but the inside happiness is better!

Great feeling isnt it??

There you have posed one of life's longest running questions.
Once you really are, you will know,
I know that that is no answer but it is the only answer.

PS I know that I am (Still) and we have been married 37 years!
