Does it have anything to do with pregnancy? I'm only 2 weeks or so but I was just wondering because I've had this a few times. There'll be days when food just looks disgusting.

yup. been there. i couldnt eat for the first three months almost. do this. go to walmart in the pharmacy section and look for the diet shake aisle. look through the diet shakes, and you should find the nutrition shakes, there will be two kinds, one with only 200 calories, and one with 400 calories for gaining or maintaining weight. those are the ones you want. get the equate chocolate kind, those taste the best, and are cheaper than insure. drink 3 a day if you cant eat, just choke it down. those were the doctors orders. he also said this, when you see something you want to eat, no matter what it is, eat it. if the only thing you can eat everyday is pickles and creamed cheese with onions, then thats what you should eat, as often as you can. dont worry, as long as youre taking your prenatal vitamins and try to eat the few things that look good to you, youll be fine. (one of the only things i could eat was a mc donalds $1 salad, only that kind, i couldnt eat regular salad from home, go figure.) good luck!

yes and it is common for most women it ends after the first trimester. I cooked dinner for my husband every night and couldn't eat it the smell of it made my stomach turn. I resorted to crackers and water... and of course my maternity vitamins. Hopefully it will pass for you if not you can talk to your doctor about it. My sister had to go on medication cause she was very sick through her whole pregnancy and could even keep the food in her stomach without puking.

A lot of the problem with pregancy and food is that you have massively heightened sense of smell. I am just over 10weeks now, and I can't stand the smell of anything, so the food really does disgust me!

Yes, it is common. However eating is not done for pleasure. It is for health. If you are pregnant, you are not only eating for your health but for your unborn childs health. Look at it this way and you will eat appropriately for a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy. Take your neonat vitamins too! Very important.

Oh heavens yes!! I couldnt stand the smell of it cooking either! I hated going through town and smelled the resturants cooking.
Eeeeekkkkk! I know exactly what you mean.
It will pass however and you'll be wondering how on earth you're going to tame your absurd hunger.
Good luck!!!!!

That is because your body is changing so much inside for the baby. Find things you really like to eat.

I did that to. I was never hungry. Nothing looked good, but I made sure I ate what I needed to and took my vitamins for the kids sake.
