How do those lovely brides, with their beautiful flowing gowns, the luscious lips and flashing eyelashes, and the sweetest voice in the world turn into complaining, nagging, irritating, maniacs? What happened to that sweet, adorable woman I married? Does ANYBODY know?

I think we want to GET married but not Be married....if that makes sense...I`m a woman and I don`t think marriage brought out the best in me for sure, sorry. I think marriage doesn`t match up to the anticipation and excitement we have dating. After the wedding the pressure is on for the next step....kids.
Think it`s bad now? After the kid it gets worse.
She´s not a bride now...she`s your wife...gulp.

She's been handed too much and her mate hasn't been taking his share of the load. She works, raises the kids, cooks, cleans up after kids and husband, and is expected to make sure everything is perfect for everyone. And her husband probably isn't showing her how much he appreciates her on a regular basis, only once in a blue moon when she cries or something and he realizes what an *** he's been. A woman has the stress of running everything while the man has the stress of providing. His job is usually an 8 or 9 hour day while hers is from sun up to sun down and now a days she has an 8 hour a day job on top of it as well. That would turn anyone into a raving maniac. Open your eyes and objectively look at things. Does this apply to your marriage?

She is now a wife dealing with a household, a husband, possibly children, bills and a career. Not all woman turn into that psychopath. The women who do just need to find a way to deal with the stress. I had my time when I was the same way. What spun me out of control was my husband who acted like another child. A wife should not have to double as her husband's mother. NOT COOL

The same thing that happens to sweet loving grooms. These sweet guys turn into jerks 10 years down the line who can't wash a dish to save their life and football is WAY more important than the kids or the wife. He can't even say "Bless you" anymore when I sneeze.

Thanks for letting me vent

men!!! usually your sweet bride becomes a different person after being exposed to the real you! once you were married, did you expect her to work full time, clean the house, cook the meals, and generally do everything for you but wipe your ***, all because you gave her a ring???? grow up, a person would not change over night, either you werent going out long and her facade came down quickly, or you just werent the prize she expected to get

Apparently I am not the only one who needs marriage counseling.

Bad relationships turn people sour and it is both your faults not just hers. You think you are the same way you were when you guys got married? If you were she probably would not be like that. People change.

.Unless the two of you were living together before the marriage she has a lot to adjust to. May be she's a bit homesick, maybe she's scared she won't be a good wife- it could be a lot of things. Try talking to her and finding out what has her bugged.

Must be the chemical composition of the gold in the wedding band. Or the noxious fumes of the diamonds. It gets in your blood man!

Before I even read your second line, I thought R&S. Don't blame yourself! Crazies live there. This section is actually quite civil in comparison. I never go there anymore.

I'll tell you why, cos everything about you that we didn't see pre marriage has manifested before our eyes and irks the heck out of us.

My husband feels the same way as you and your wife probably feels the same as me!
