My husband and I applied last year. There is a fairly long application, which you download off cbs.com. You have to send it in, along with a copy of your passports, and a video of yourselves. Then, if you're chosen for the next step, you go to one of a list of cities for an interview (for us, Chicago was the closest one). But we didn't get called. :-(

Go to www.cbs.com and click on 'the amazing race'. There is an online application. If you make it through the first round of the selection process you will need to go to one of their casting offices at your own expense (they are listed on the application). I believe there is also a video involved, but that may be after the initial application.
