We need less people like him in the world.
Back more then a few years ago he killed a few thousand people in northern Iraq - I thought we should have done something then, but we didn't.
To often we go into places where the money is and not often enough to places where evil needs to be stopped (the area around Darfur).
However its not our place to police the world, maybe we should let evil men like him continue on their rampage . I mean what are we getting for our troubles- three thousand dead Americans and a world of bad press.
Sorry, its a torn issue for me- do we step aside and let evil win because we didn't step in the way and say "no more evil deeds" or do we let them do just because its their way and none of our business?
Not looking for a fight, just throwing out some thoughts

I think only a small group of severely misguided people think that.
He was a genocidal and brutal man.
I didn't break out the beer and pretzels to celebrate the execution, but I was quietly satisfied that justice was done.
Who can saddam blame other than himself for his fate?

A person who was less than human has been taken away from our earth. I personally see no reason to be upset due to the loss of such a person. He deserved to die, and true it does not bring him back, but i bet it gave many iraqies satisfaction. He killed thier loved ones, their brothers, sisters, children, husbands and wives.... its a good thing he is gone. And lets hope he didnt become satans new love intrest as south park depicts!!

The issue is , people in countries like iraq can only be controlled by dictators like saddam. It's almost like "spare the rod, spoil the child".
Although he was bad (decades ago, we funded and supported him to do bad things), he kept civil peace and fear.
Killing him, is not going to send any message to anybody. People in middle east dont' get scared by someone killing their dictators. There are always someone else who takes the place.
It's just a political satisfaction for Bush. That's all.

It was a pleasure to hear that this horrible MURDERER has finally met his maker and no matter what anyone says his maker is not happy with him and is probably also in the process of executing him.

What I think about tha sadam exicution is that it is great that they brought him to justice, but it is inhumane and downright wrong that they HANG him, and then televise it.

well, i belive that it is good that he is gone. i am disappointed that my fellow americans have to further ruin our reputation as cold-hearted pigs, because most people are like "hey where can i find the video?" or "i'm so happy.. imagine how funny it was.." saddam was a terrible person, but he was a person nonetheless, and therefore we should not be happy about his death itself, but happy about his absence from the world.
