Grassy thinks it is OK but on the other hand there are certain rights associated with marriage that are being passed up.

I think that whatever a woman wants is what she should do. If she doesn't feel the need to get married for any number of reasons, she shouldn't. The pressure society puts on people for marrying has weakened, I think, because many more men and women are staying single nowadays. It's less complicated in some ways and if divorce rates are growing staying single might be a good choice. I may be old fashioned, but I think you should only marry for love, so unless you're not in love with someone, I think it would be fine to remain single.

I saw screw the world. I am not married and I love it. I can't stand it when society looks down upon a woman especially if she has kids because she isn't married. This is my body and if I wanted to sell it out for a ring.. I would just be a prostitute and get it the hell over with.
This is my life and not some idiot man's! I own me! No one else does!

Its ok for a woman not to want to be married. But women who express this will generally be told they will change their minds with time, or when the right person comes along.

I totally agree with you on that one. Why is it if you don't wanna get married everybody automatically assumes that you can't handle responsibility or some other bullcrap?
Well, excuse me if I don't want to join the ranks of the statistics for over half of marriages ending in divorce.
I prefer peace and quiet when I come home, and sex when I pick up a lady I just met at a club or party. YAH!

I don't think we all want the ring. I talk about marriage but at the same time, I wouldn't be mad if I didn't ever get married. It's a cliche'.

Nowadays, its ok for a woman or a man to want or not want anything they want. Society is very accepting of most anything.

yes its completely fine, now not all women are in it for the ring. Although most women are looking for security in a man one that they can see themselves with in years from now. And then you have the gold diggers. hope this helps a little.

No one in civilized countries, will force a fellow person to marry or not to marry. Friends and family, might react to a daughter's or son's decision to remain unmarried, but that is as far as it will go.

i think its just fine for a female not to be married its mainly a society rule for them to be..............most of the time females are better off not married its more fun i think
