I remember reading an article on "My Yahoo" that Chris Garner didn't attend the premier of the movie (based on his true story), but I can't remember the reason, but seem to think it was something about his son. I just saw the movie and now I am curious. Did anyone read that same article or remember the reason?

he was speaking at a company conference or something like that. he was supposed to go but instead he chose being a motivational speaker to a company rather than being at a hollywood movie premier. what a great guy.

He had a prior speaking engagment where he was the keynote speaker.
He kept his promise.
