saddle soap, which is found in the shoe aisle of places like target, works wonders for small cracks. i collect vintage boots, and regularly use saddle soap to clean and moisturize old leathers.

Try using the same stuff that you would use to break in a baseball mitt. I can't remember what it's called, but work it in and wipe away the excess. Keeps the gloves soft and supple right?
