I always embrace it, I've no other choice if I want to make sure it doesn't overtake me. I welcome the tears that let me know I feel and live, yes. Exactly.....

I have a friend who had learned a spiritual teaching which taught not to fight your pain as if you were crucified. The flailing would only make things worse. Instead the teaching encouraged to just sit with your pain.
On a like note, this sitting should not be seen as a simple bearing of ones pain but rather one should explore the pain. By doing so one might find the pain is really nothing at all. What I mean by this is when one takes time to examine pain it kind of takes you outside of yourself, hence helping you to objectively see things for how they are.
I do think there is room to be cathartic by crying and to beat a pillow so to speak, but it is also not always necessary and may at times generate ones pain not alleviate it. That is one of the ultimate goals we should seek right, to be happy?

Yeah, sometimes not often enough. Other times, too often.
Raw pain is my security blanket, in a sense. I feel raw pain rarely; the rest is superficial stuff. But when I feel raw pain, it allows me to delve deeper into my thoughts and really figure myself out and I do thank it for doing so by embracing it.
