Look the only reason people are talking about Boise State is they want a playoff. Not because they were better than UF or Ohio State. If it's not Boise State then it's some other crap team that has an easy schedule. Remember the Oregon Ducks a few years back?
The real question should be is do we need a playoff system? Yes the BCS sucks.

The only undefeated college team in Division IA is the Boise State Broncos.

The Buckeyes were undefeated; played stiffer competition than Boise State did, and Florida still spanked them. I doubt that Boise State would have done much better against Florida than Ohio State did. Florida has too much speed and toughness. Besides, Boise State isn't crying that they should share the championship, so we shouldn't either.

Just because they are undefeated doesn't qualify them as the best. The cardinals limped into the NL playoffs in October and won the world series. The Steelers eeked into the AFC playoff picture as a #6 seed and won the Super Bowl. Congratulations on a phenomenal year, now schedule tougher teams so you can have a chance to win the BCS national championship. Or count your blessing that your team wasn't humiliated like the Buckeyes were Monday night.
