First of all we need to understand the type of harm u r talkin about.

Physical (hardware) problems: Absolutely none as long as there are no spikes or fluctutations in power(But being present on the system doesnt help either in case of spikes)

Viruses: A virus, trojan, spyware cant directly download itself unless ur connected to the net.If you are use a firewall and a good anti virus scan like avg, or avast.

System getting hacked: once again dependent on u being on the net.

Don't leave it unattended. For one, you save money with your utility bills, and for two, leaving it on could give hackers the opprtunity to get your information or give you a virus. It's happened to me before.

What is the point of leaving it on ,total waste of power.People who leave them on 24/7 are just too bloody lazy to turn them off and too impatient to wait for the reboot.

it shouldnt do ur computer a lot of harm, but dont leave ur speakers on as they can break if they are on and there is a power cut. but turning it off will save a lot of money and energy.

no it won't do it any harm but it will use a lot of electricity so unless u need it to be left on u would probably be better turning it off i used to leave mine on and since i started turning it off i have saved a lot of money on electricity bills

No. If you have a screen saver set up it will come on. Any antiviral software,or firewall you have installed on your computer should be working while the computer is unattended.

Hope this helps

No, it shouldn't as long as you have a strong firewall to keep the naughty hackers out.
