most think the shourd is a fake but if it is shouldn't it be considered a masterpiece like the Mona Lisa and David and things like that because if it is fake it's a very good one

It's like many of the great master pieces in that it's an expression of the artists faith. I think it should still be appreciated in those terms despite the apparent lack of authenticity.

Yeah. Even though I think it's fake I think it should be considered a masterpiece

There was 13th century artist that originally created it. He was a very inventive artist. He had made a wood statue of Christ first in a burial position, doused it with dye and placed it on the cloth to press it down. That was how it was made.
