I don't think OSU was overrated and I don't think Florida was underrated. It goes back to the terms of "any given sunday" and in this case it was monday.
OSU had two weeks more off than Florida.
Troy Smith had all the Heismann hype behind him and the press meetings, conferences, dinners, and banquets that behold the great honor. That alone will surely take your mindset off the game.
Florida came off some great wins in the end to spring them in, which I feel gave them a big edge in dominating the game since they were a huge question mark to even make it in the game.
OSU knew they were in after beating Michigan, giving them plenty of time to just sit back and enjoy life.
Florida was coached very, very well this game.
OSU made horrible defensive schemes especially allowing that much room on the receivers to sneak IN FRONT OF the linebackers. Giving up that many third down plays is insane. They rarely blitzed, and they rarely jammed receivers at the line. Horrible defensive coaching in my opinion.
Offensively, how do you let a defensive end come off the line unblocked and sack your QB? That is something that should of never happened, you could easily see that they were very unfocused on this game.
Where was OSU's running game. They came out passsing from begginning to the end, what a horrible mistake by Tressel to do.
Give it to Leak for definately playing the nickel and dime game by slowly going down the field and finding the open man. He had no pressure on him and had no desire to throw a deep ball. He kept his cool and played smart football to win the game big time.
and did anyone even see what happened to Ted Ginn Jr? Or why did Troy Smith never look upset or sad for his performance or the teams?
I give it to Florida for coming out prepared, but this game could be played next week with a different outcome. This is football and that is what makes it so great. No team is safe week in and week out.

Who did OSU play besides Michigan and an ok Texas team? NOBODY. Florida got past a top 5 LSU team they won against a good Georgia team and Tennesse as well as FSU and also beat Arkansas. The SEC is just faster and better. I Fell that any of the top 3 teams in the SEC could have the same success. OSU is overrated. Michigan overrated. Florida and LSU underrated. Florida was the better team. Oh and Troy Smith isn't that good, see. He played horrible and will drop because he cant play against good teams or in a pressure situation on the road. If only the Heisman was announced this week the rightful winner, Mr. Brady Quinn would have won, because he had the better year and had a better last game than smith even though he didn't play great.Give credit where credit is due Florida was a much better team.

I have to say a little of both. I am an OSU fan to the death, but most people really didn't give Florida any credit. OSU came out thinking they had the game in the bag. They played with NO intensity and they didn't manage the game well. Plain and simple, Florida was better prepared and all around better coached in that football game. I hate to say it because I love Jimmy T, but he was out coached by Urban Meyer the whole game. OSU never changed up the defens when clearly it was not working. Also, for the guy who said Teddy Ginn hurt OSU, sure, a little. There is no way OSU would have stood a chance if Teddy wouldn't have gotten hurt. The Buckeyes came out flat and just got out played, Teddy Ginn or not!
I am very troubled by this loss, but I still love the Scarlet and Grey!

Take what I say with a grain of salt (there is a reason why I am not on ESPN). I believe that Ohio State's poor performane can partly be attributed to their 50+ days off. The reason I say this is I watched Michigan and USC play in the bowl game. Michigan's last game was against Ohio State, but both Florida and USC played regular season games after Michigan and Ohio State had finished their season. Michigan and Ohio State got a longer break. Both Michigan and Ohio State, despite great seasons, looked sluggish, ill-prepared and overwhelmed by their oppenents. Perhaps it is just a coincidence.

OSU was not overated but they had a 51 day rest thats a long time they had so much rust. Also Ted Ginn was injured for the whole game and the one play he was healthy in he scored a TD. But Florida was also underrated there defence played amazing and there offence surprised everyone.

OSU was over-rated and Florida was under rated. OSU was just unprepared and was blown away. I think they should've practiced more before the game, even if they were undefeated.....they should've practiced like a week or 2 before the game.

OSU was over-rated. They had a limited playing schedule based on playing some cream puff schools. Florida's defense was quicker than OSU anticipated.

Neither. Both teams were ranked correctly. Florida just had too much speed on the offensive side of the ball and Ohio St.'s zone defense could not stop it.
