Cap. has always been a little tooo true blue for me. (but reacently he's been pretty cool). Wolverine is getting a little too much exposure and the same can be said about Spidey. While Luke Cage and Ghost Rider, haven't really gotten the respect they deserve. So who's better?
in the category of fighting i'd say wolverine, but as an entertainig battle, Hands Down Spidey.
But in the end i'll choose Luke Cage. No mask, No secret id, and No Adamantium claws. Plus he was a Hero for Hire.

better at what?
fighting technique would probably be captain america.
surviving and drinking would probably be wolverine (although cap can't get drunk because the serum in his body metabolizes alcohol too quickly for it to affect him).
Spiderman for being a photographer and all around agile superhero (he is probably the best as a superhero cause he actively goes out and looks to stop crime on a daily basis).
luke cage = invulnerable and can't be harmed
ghost rider = ultra powerful spirit probably the most powerfull of the bunch but not the best fighter (but still good).
However the most bad a ss hero in comics is by far doctor doom (it would be conan but he wasn't really created in comics).

It all depends on your personal preference Wolverine and spider-man are grossly overexposed. the ghost rider has never had a top flight creative team so i think he still has room to grow. If Luke cage gets a writer like Reginald hudlin(black) he has a chance to rise like the black panther has. Cap has always been steady but this is probably his best run even though i like the ultimate cap better.

Better for what?
I'd prefer Cap as a leader.
Spidey for comedy relief.
Wolvie and Luke in a bar brawl.
Ghosty when battling demons.
But if I had to pick a fave character.... I have to go with smarts aswell as being a badazz, so Batman and/or V for Vendetta will always be my top picks.

I'd have to go with Spider-Man because the early issues are still fun to read today, and the concept of Spider-Man is still the most attractive to me from all the possible choices.

Come on, its got to be the web-slinger, the amazing... your friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler, Spiderman! He has tough personal problems but he's a heroic geek and he's scientifically literate so that makes him a hero for me.
'Go get 'em tiger!'
