Other than go to casinos or wedding chapels. Are there any quirky sights or attractions?

Las Vegas is FANTASTIC is not all gambling etc etc the hotels alone are worth the trip alone... each one is based on a theme i.e New York New York is based on the sky scrapers of New York and has a huge roller coaster on the outside WOW.

Inside is just like a little Manhattan including themed bars, restaurant's and show bars. That is just one hotel the whole strip is like this

The MGM has real LIONS.... It rains in the Aladdin the Bellagio has dancing water fountains to Frank Sinatra. I have been twice and still have not seen everything I for one can not wait to go back.

Try all the hotels as a sight seeing trip they all have free shows and all themes.

On the food side it is so cheap to eat out in Vegas the best Buffet is in the Mandalay Bay, the best restaurant inside the Ballys (was a steakhouse don't know name sorry).

Take a look also at the real Vegas in downtown prob about $10 in a cab a real Vegas night out and one you will not want to miss most fantastic light show ever. If you go have a great time.

If you have a car at your disposal two nice day trips are Hoover Dam and Lake Mead and a trip north to see the Valley of Fire.
If you are a people watcher, a walk down the street is fun.
No trip is complete without a trip to the old city and Freemont street. The roof of the street now a pedestrian walkway is one big light show with something going off on the hour.

There is always the food with many offerings to fit all budgets.
Check out the aquarium at ( i think) the Bilagio ( sp?) on the south end of the strip near the Luxor. Speaking of Luxor a pricey but very fun show, also very quirky, Blue Man Group.

There is nothing quite so romantic as a reaffirmation of vows at the drive up wedding chapel with the rights performed by an Elvis impersonator.

get yourself a directory or go on here as there are so many things to do well away from the strip 7 days wouldn't be long enough to do it all but it will cost you and don't forget trip to canyon and the dam and a tour of Vegas where all the residents live and their shopping centre and Liberace museum all interesting and so much more!! been there 8 times and will be back shortly its changed so much in 18 years my first visit

Yeah at the hotel New York New York there is a Rollercoaster attatched to the hotel. There are a lot of shows like magic shows and stuff like that. I reccomend the Magic Shows. They are pretty cool. The lights are increadicle at night. Make sure to stop at each hotel there is something cool about eachone! Stay at the Loxyor that was pretty cool! (The Egyptian one with the silver glasses Pyramid).

Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon are both worth a looksee.
If you have more time on your hands, the Grand Canyon is a few hours drive from there.

Hope this helps and have a great vacation.
