It depends on the school district. In my overall experience, the general number is 10-12 total, with no more than 5 unexcused. Also, a general rule is that a certain number of tardies (usually 3) equals one unexcused absence.
Absences due to school-sponsored activities (band, athletics, FFA/4H, student council, field trips, etc.) don't count, but if you have that many absences, you usually aren't allowed to do extracurricular activities.
One other thing--too many absences without a doctor's excuse can result in a truancy charge against your parents. They get cited, hauled into a court, have to answer for your absences before a judge, and can be fined hundreds of dollars. If they don't pay, they go to jail and you go into foster care. That's the law in my state.

Depends on your school district. You would need to check with the administration (principal) for that answer. In my school, if you miss more than 9 days (excused or unexcused) you lose credit and have to take the class again, unless there are extenuating circumstances

At my school it is 12 unexcused days but if you have a docters excuse or something like that it is OK

By law here it is 15 days but rarely enforced. ie if you have been hospitalized unlikely, if cutting, while you choose to cut
