Just make sure that you are getting proper nutrition and eating small frequent meals throughout the day. And take your prenatal vitamin. Also, rest whenever you can - get a good night sleep, and try to take a short nap every day. This should help you have more energy, but the growing baby does take a toll on your body, so you will still have some down days no matter what you do.

That is totally normal!! Your energy should start to return soon. In the first half of the pregnancy you are so exhausted. Then you start to feel full of energy again. It's a relief. Just make sure you are eating healthy. Your body needs so much more now and you need to give it healthy food. Really, the best thing is lots of sleep at night. Go to bed early and take naps on the weekends if possible.

A good prenatal vitamin should have things in it to help with your energy levels. If you are feeling tired alot, maybe ask your doc to switch your vitamins. This could be a big help. Sometimes though you may just wanty to take a day to yourself, and do the pampering things, and you will feel better for a few days i would think.
But really, the vitamins help. Ask about a pill called Duet DHA its really good for energy boosts, has all the needed things in it and also some more.

Yes, this is normal. I'd suggest getting as much sleep as you can, going to bed earlier, which should make waking up easier on you. I am 9 months and have noticed that the further in to pregnancy I get, the more energy I gain back. The beginning was very draining and tiresome. Good luck!

Other than your pregnancy vitamins, no real solution except childbirth. I was really, really exhausted in the beginning of my pregnancies, but I think by 12-15 weeks it resolved itself. Don't get me wrong, I was still tired, that's normal, but not exhausted. Just go with it, if you need sleep, then sleep. If you feel energetic, then do things. You're nurturing a little one, nothing is more important.
Good luck and God Bless! Hope it goes quickly for you!

It's your body taking energy away from you to use it to make that little baby inside of you. Don't push your body. On days like that just sit around watch tv or sleep. Baby needs all your energy. Good luck and God bless!

After surviving three of my own pregnancies....I suggest a good night's sleep! (it will be the last you get for a looooong while)..and remember ..everything you eat the baby gets too.. so eat healthy. Lots of fruit should give you the sugar rush you may need during the day to help stay alert. Good luck!

EAT EAT EAT during the day! I eat constantly and it does help me. Just make it healthy carbs (like fruit) and proteins (cheese, milk, yogurt) and snack every hour and you'll notice a difference. I notice on the days I forget my snacks and even got busted for snoozing at my desk on of those days. Also, getting fresh air on your breaks and taking even just a 1-2 minute stretch/walk break every 30-45 minutes (if you work at a desk or something like that) helps keep the blood flowing. Hope it helps!

You could be anemic. Have your iron level tested. Depending on how low your iron level is, your obgyn may want you to take a supplement. Another thing you can do in the mean time is to eat things rich in iron like beef and/or spinach. Good Luck!

Drink a lot more water. A LOT. Try eating more fruit....like a banana or orange for a snack in between meals. You need to increase your food intake by like 400 calories a day as that lil one you got is using up yours :) good luck to you
