Are these myths or are there actual certain positions that increase the chances of predetermining the sex of your baby?

People are a little divided on this subject. Some people think that you can do it because it will allow for the "male sperm" to reach the egg first because they are faster swimmers than the "girl sperm." Most people recommend doing missionary or "doggy" to get pregnant( to allow deeper penetration ), and then if you have sex a couple of days before ovulation, it will most likely be a girl because the male sperm would have died by then; having sex on the day of ovulation is said to increase your chances of having a boy because they are faster swimmers. Some people even recommend laying down up to 30 min. after sex so the sperm do not have to fight gravity.

The only way to choose the sex of the baby is in a lab. There is a new way. They separate the y-carrying sperm because they are lighter. This is obviously not going to be 100 percent. If you really want to have a boy or a girl and have the money and are willing to spend, talk to your doc. To me this is a big waste of time.

There's no scientific evidence 2 prove it. Male sperm is weaker than female sperm so the theory is that by having sex "doggy" style the male sperm will have a fighting chance against the female sperm b/c "doggy" style allows 4 deeper penetration so during ejaculation the sperm will be closer 2 the cervix (opening 2 the uterus). In other words the male sperm will have less chance of dying off b4 reaching the cervix leaving only the female sperm 2 complete the journey.

I just read on line that sprem carrying X-chromosomes lives longer and swims slower than male Y-carrying sprem. Therefore, if you have intercourse about 3 days prior to ovulation, you have a better chance of conceiving a girl; and the closer to ovulation you have sex, the better chances are of having a boy

It doesn't matter if you were standing on your head or bent over the kitchen table when you concieve. The X and Y chromosones determine if your baby will be male or female. So, basically, which little sperm fertilizes the egg is all that matters.

I was hoping they weren't myths so I tried it out myself. Every time I had sex I got on top hoping for a boy and sure enough all my babies were girls. My hubby liked it though, me being on top. Don't get me wrong, I love all 3 of my girls and wouldn't trade them for any boy in this world.

The sex of your baby is already predertimed and no matter how you sleep,it isn`t going to affect a thing except your comfort level.
