Help him with what? Don't get involved with him if he is seperated from his wife, this is NEVER a good idea. However, if he is divorced depending on if he is ready for a relationship then help him with what ever you want to and he needs you to!

You don't help him. Men are more the "do it yourself" types and will only be better if they do it on they're own. However, just be a good friend and be there if he wants to talk or vent. Just be the ear to listen...that's the best thing you can do. But don't force him to talk because some men don't like that.

Sex. And no questions, it will bring him out of the funk that he is in. Catch him coming out of the shower and give him a 10 minute fellatio workout. Follow this up with some discovery channel, animalistic type on conjugation and if he doesnt snap out of it in a couple of weeks, he is dead, or insane. In either one of those cases, there is nothing more that you can do.

Keep your distance. You don't know why he is going through the divorce. He won't tell you HIS faults in the marriage. Good luck.

Well which is it....separated or divorced....don't you know. If you don't know, then keep out of it, you're not such a good friend.
