I would think you would want an Electrician or Gas Appliance Technician to do this work for you. I am not sure where you are from but around here, a standard 'service call' charge would apply and then any additional parts needed. Here, a standard service call cost is about $60. I live in Western New York State.

There must be a fashion to disconnect the gas line at the different end of the line, often down with information from the floor. The valve must be positioned someplace in the back of the oven, on the end of versatile gas line, not on the oven itself. I really have not in any respect come throughout the time of a gas oven that did not have a close-off valve, yet that doesn't propose your position changed into equipped with one. i'm particular that code might want to call for a close-off, so in case you do not have one, i might want to call a plumber or heating guy to position in one.

He must be Corgi registered and should charge around £50 including pressure and leak test. Its a 20 minute job.

when i enquired the same thing when i moved to my new home in august last year they quoted me £80 so i did it my self for just £3.50

once you have done the reconection just put washing up liquid over the seal and turn the gas one if you see no bubbles then you have done it correctly
use boss white on the seal it hardens to make it air and water tight

Just had ours done for 40 quid (he even provided a new pipe).
Make sure that the person is Corgi registered.

I paid £ 40 quid which is about the norm. just get a quote beforehand.
