Black, dark brown or deep navy blue are all appropriate. Wear whichever is correct for the weather in your area; pants or skirt (either is fine). A simple shirt/sweater in a low-key color would be nice. (No bright neon colors, but color is ok; like light blue with the navy pants.)

I liked the idea of hair into a simple low ponytail with a black ribbon. Wearing your hair up is not necessary and is too "dressy" for a memorial.

Take tissues....and I'm sorry you have to go through this honey.

Most people say that black is most appropriate....check out your cities weather and see what the temperature is....I usually do wear to funerals black slacks or a skirt and a shirt with a splash of color not dipped in color.....its good to be able to still have your individual style but still be in respect of the family and friends of the one who has passed by having something thats not inappropriate or loud looking!

Wear black or dark blue. Basically something classy/dressy, but not very noticeable. You don't want to stand out. People will be mourning and it is always sort of a tradition to wear dark colors. I'm so sorry for your loss hun.

Whatever you wear be sure that it is not too tight or open. You can tie your hair with a black ribbon into a low pony tail.

It doesn't matter what color you wear, what clothing, or how you wear your hair. The fact that you will be attending his memorial is what really counts. You're going to show your respect & support his family & friends. That's what matters most.
