I will try and answer in the order:

"Axl has CLEARLY had his day": Well, yes. However, so has Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, etc;. GnR has sold out a lot of performances this past year, so there is obviously still some demand.

"...they are crap..": Who, exactly, are "crap"? The original lineup? The Illusion lineup? The assorted lineups since? Say what you will, a LOT of talent has gone through that band. For pete's sake- Youtube ANY of Buckethead's searing guitar solos from his past work, and you will be blown away.

"....his voice sounds terrible..." I thought it was pretty bad a few years back at the MTV VMA's; however it would seem he has laid off the twinkies (Sorry Axl- you did put on a few pounds since the 80's...of course, so did I) and put some effort into his vocals. he certainly sounds DIFFERENT than he did when he was in his 20's, but it isn't bad thing.

"...Why reform with only one original member?": Apparently you don't know a lot of GnR history. I would suggest you Wiki the subject as it will answer a lot of your queries. GnR is a group that was comprised of several bands and members- most notably Tracii Guns (of L.A. Guns fame- Also hence the "Guns" in GnR) and Axl Rose (of Hollywood Rose- I think you can figure out the 'R' in "GnR") who came and went. They have never gone anywhere in the first place, so they aren't "re-forming".

Currently, the album "Chinese Democracy" is set to release on March 6th 2007. It is the most expensive album of all time, coming in at just under 15 million US dollars.

I hope Axl can pull it off, as he is/was one of the great rock frontmen.

And on the last tour he had to get Sebastien Bach to stand in for him at the end. I agree. Theres a time when you should just quit.

Because fools will still pay money to see him play even though he is a complete **** now.

I know someone who is a fan and will pay to see them even though he says the guy is a waste of space.

He wants to feed his ego and his bank account.

Simply put, because there will be people who will want to listen to it. If you don't like Guns-n-Roses, by all means, don't listen to them.
