Ultrasound or amnio. There is no other way.

Yes an ultrasound scan is the traditional way. There are more sophisticated "4-d" scans where you have a 3-dimensional, moving image of the baby.

Or if you want to do it really traditionally and for fun, just ask an Italian woman! I have Italian friends who swear they can tell from a lady's bump what the sex of a baby is.

You could try the "dowsing" method as well: Hold a pendulum over the bump and depending on which way it swings, you can tell what the sex is - unless you're sure you are psychic, this method is all up to chance.

My doctor told me that you can tell by the heart beat. If the heart beat is very fast it is a girl. (girls tend to have a faster heart beat than a boy) If it is slower than it is a boy. This is the only way that I know. I have had 4 children and he always knew by 3 months what it was. He has never been wrong. At the 5 month mark we found out the same thing he said at 3 months. Maybe this will work on you.

Some woman gain weight when it's a boy. If it is a girl the only place they gain weight is in the belly.
But don't trust on that, that's different by all woman.
If you previously had children, maybe you had some differences.
Otherwise by Ultrasound, [have been wrong at times]
or let it surprise u. Best of Luck!

I have two girls and a boy, in that order.
When I was carrying my first daughter I was 6 wks when I found out, went for a meal and was really sick, it was italian. I went like a telly tubby with her all the way round.
My second daughter again 6 wks when I found out ate garlic again and was sick everywhere, didn't go as round with her.
I craved chocolate and ice cream with both of the girls.

My son, found out again at 6 wks, ate garlic and wasn't sick, this got me thinking straight away that it was a boy, bump all at the front, craved yoghurts and oranges. When I went for my 20 wk scan, I said if it's got its legs crossed i know it's a boy its being awkward, there it was lay there with its legs crossed, they opened for a couple of seconds and it was a boy!

I am 15 wks pregnant now, have a neat little bump, can eat garlic, I go for my scan on 15 feb so I will let you know the result.

The only way is by ultrasound or having a bit of the placenta checked. They do that to look for Down Syndrom. Any other way is just a guess.

lol, none of the old wives tales are true--you just have to wait until your big ultrasound at 20+ weeks
sorry :(

The only diffinitive way is to have an ultrasound, but if you'd like to have some fun with your pregnancy, you can see what the Chinese Pregnancy Calendar says. All you do is, take your conception month and your current age, and it will tell you what you should be having. I used it with my first pregnancy and it worked wonders!

Here's two, enjoy!

the only way to know what you are having is by and ultrasound or by checking your amniotic fluid there is know other way i have had three kids and with two of them i had no clue what i was having but in my heart i knew with both of them my 2 year old i wanted a girl sooo much and she came out to be a girl and my baby who is now 8 months old i wanted him to be a boy and i knew in my heart that he would be... when i would go to stores i had no desire to look at the girls clothes and then when i went into labor the doc said it was a boy

You can't really... everyone thought I was having a girl- by the way I looked, and I had a boy. lol So I was definitely surprised once I had my baby boy since I didn't find out his sex the entire time. I even had a lady come up to me and say my eyes were sparkling, so that meant I was having a girl haha. Goodluck!

It always worked for me try this one!
get a needle and piece of cotton and thread the needle.
next tie a knot at the other end of the cotton away from the needle.
hold the knot and let the needle fall
hold over your bump very still.
if the needle swings side to side its a boy
if the needle spins round its a girl
Try it it works.
