I wouldn't do it. It leaves too many open doors for misunderstanding. That's how many affairs begin. You start talking and sharing your feelings and next thing you know, you're in the middle of an affair. If you want to talk about marriage and stuff, find a good friend whom you can trust and who's going to be honest with you. Bottom line is that your spouse should be your best friend. There shouldn't be anything you can't talk to your spouse about...especially about your relationship. If you still have questions or concerns, then pick up some books on marriage, relationship and communication. You'd be surprised how much you can learn from books. Just my opinion!

No.

Married men AND women have no reason to be "pen pals" with ONLY one half of the relationship.

Now, if someone would want to correspond with BOTH parties, then fine. anything less is simply asking for trouble.

The only reason I think you would do that would be to start on false pretenses and hope you can make it into something more later on. Sounds like someone is trying to bait some women.

Why else would you want to do that..does your wife not provide you with decent and engaging conversation????

Sounds fishy to me.....

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't. But considering my own situation I would because I (be needing) someone to talk to.

Only if the other spouse was ok with it and readily had access to shared emails and discussions with said penpal.

It's not something I would seek out but if it happened I wouldn't be opposed. And both people would have to be honest with their spouses about it so it wouldn't appear to be something it wasn't.
