Rotten! Sid wasn't a Pistol. Has everyone forgotten Mattlock? Yeah he was cra* but he was the Pistol. They brought Sid in to fill the gigs. Just because he was wrecked on smack all the time then supposedly killed his idiot of a girlfriend, everyone hails him as a hero! He wasn't! Nancy used to say they didn't need Lydon while they had Sid.Ha! Yeah right..who wrote all the music and lyrics? Sid was a waste of time. Lydon was the Pistol, not Sid.
There. I feel better now...thanks.....oh, and Lydon doesn't appear on these shows for money. He has a mansion in L.A. and still has P.I.L, what have the other Pistols got?? To whoever wrote that comment!

in influence sid was amazing but talent wise lydon was great, but for punk mentality ( which is in my opinion all I care about) they are equals.

Prefer Lydon/Rotten - he's become a bit of a joke these days but Sid didn't contribute anything to the Pistols other than image wise, and started to believe his own hype. Lydon has done butter adverts (holkd the front page!) but that's still preferable to deliberately walking around the Jewish district of Paris wearing swastikas if you ask me.

At least Sid Vicious did the right thing and shot himself.
Johnny Rotten now appears on 'celebrity' programmes to earn money.
What a hypocritical ****.

Johnny Rotten.
Sid Vicious had attitude but absolutely no talent whatsoever.

Johnny was ok. Angry, but a genius. Sid was just a no-holds-barred psycho. Seriously, he'd stick a bottle over yer head or gob in your face as soon as look at you.He was more punk, but you really wouldn't want to hang out with him.
